Plant-Based Unda Rolls in Brooklyn

Lemme cut to the chase. In my pre-vegan days, my go-to comfort meal was unda (egg)rolls from The Kati Roll Company. They were quick, they were hearty, and, they tasted just like the rolls I remember devouring street-side in Odisha, India during our annual “back to the motherland” trips.

Since going vegan though, the only place I can enjoy a fully plant-based unda roll is at home/in my kitchen. There isn’t one place in the city that offers a plant-based unda roll. Until now.

If you’re anything like me and crave buttery paratha enrobed in spiced vegan eggs (we use JustEgg), filled with fresh spiced slaw with chutney and achaar, then this roll is for you!

You can find me at Principles GI Coffee House (139 9th St, Brooklyn, NY) Saturday, May 25th from 12 to 4pm serving up said unda rolls.

Come by, say hi, tell me what else you’d love to see on the menu in the future. Ask me about the vegan goat kati roll I’m currently working on. Let’s meet, not meat!
