So many roles.
As I’ve started up my delivery business, many people have told me that cooking and developing a menu shouldn’t be challenging for me because I’m a woman. Never mind that I’m a trained cook, a professional recipe developer, or that this is my passion; simply, because I am a woman, it is presumed that a “cooking job” should come easy for me, that’s its a natural role for me.
Others have told me that I haven’t fulfilled my role as a woman since my husband and I don’t have children.
Still, others have felt comfortable telling me which roles I should fill, have not filled, and should reconsider filling.
If I made a roll every time I heard about roles, I’d, well, be making a lot of rolls! So all this is what inspired me to make this art.
